Peter Levine

Peter Levine is a Managing Director in the Brown Investment Office. While the Brown Investment Office team are all generalists, Peter does have subspecialties in all stages of Private Equity and both liquid and illiquid Credit Strategies. Previously, Peter founded and managed a distressed asset trading firm specializing in corporate aircraft value dislocations and cross border transactions. Prior to establishing Shepherd, he served as a Portfolio Manager at New Holland Capital, an investor focused exclusively on absolute return and uncorrelated hedge fund strategies. While at New Holland, Peter focused on distressed, real asset, and esoteric credit strategies. Peter has over 10 years of experience in senior corporate finance roles at private equity-sponsored growth and turnaround businesses. He began his career in the mergers and acquisitions group at JP Morgan. Peter is a graduate of Brown University class of 1995 with a concentration in Modern European History. He is an accomplished pilot, holding a commercial license and multiple jet "type" ratings.
