Todd Markson

Todd is an Operating Partner at Bain Capital in the Tech Opportunities fund where he leads the investing and value creation efforts across the portfolio and partners with management teams to support their key initiatives. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Todd was Chief Strategy and Operating Officer at Cengage, a multi-billion dollar, PE backed (KKR, Apax and Searchlight) global education and technology company, where he led strategy, corporate development, channel, pricing, procurement and supply chain. Before Cengage, he was a management strategy consultant in London, Dubai and Boston, most recently as a Senior Principal in the Technology and Private Equity practices of BCG, with a focus on Go-To-Market. Earlier in his career, Todd was a technology entrepreneur in Silicon Valley, co-founding and successfully exiting education technology and information services companies. Todd also served in the Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa, with a focus on Micro-Finance and Small Enterprise Development. Additionally, Todd is an active angel investor with 3 friends from business school, having invested in over 15 founder led businesses.
